Overview
Saddle up and explore the shifting white sand dunes of the Witzands Aquifer Nature
Reserve at Atlantis, with Table Mountain visible on the horizon and just 45 minutes
from Cape Town. Our quad biking experience takes you along designated trails across
dunes that rise up to 50 metres high, with an experienced guide leading the way.
No experience is necessary — every group starts with a full safety briefing
and a practice run before heading out onto the dunes.
Because Witzands is a protected nature reserve, all riding stays on marked trails
to protect the rare fynbos of the Cape Floristic Region, and every guest needs a
conservation permit to enter — see Rules & Requirements
below before you book.
Choose Your Ride
Every package below includes a safety briefing, practice run, helmet and
safety gear, and a professional guide for the whole ride. Pick the length
that suits your group.
30-Minute Blitz
R550 / person
A quick taste of the dunes — ideal if you're short on time
or trying quad biking for the first time. Covers the practice
area and one short trail loop with your guide.
45-Minute Ride Most Popular
R750 / person
Our most popular option. Enough time to properly explore the
dune system, with stops along the way for photos and to take in
the Table Mountain views.
60-Minute Adventure
R900 / person
The full experience — ride further into the reserve, with
more trail variety and more time to stop for photos at the best
viewpoints.
Plus a mandatory Witzands conservation permit of R250 per person,
payable at the reserve gate and separate from your tour fee. We list it here
up front so there are no surprise costs on the day.

Rules & Requirements
Every guest must carry an original South African ID or a
physical passport to enter the reserve — digital
copies are not accepted, and without one you will be
turned away at the gate with no refund. A Witzands
conservation permit (R250 per person) is also compulsory
and is paid separately from your tour fee.
Riders must be at least 16 years old to drive on our tours.
Children aged 4–12 may join as a ride-along on a
fit-for-purpose two-seater bike with a guide or parent;
children under 4 cannot enter the reserve. Riders are
limited to a maximum weight of 140kg.
No alcohol is permitted anywhere in the reserve, before or
during your ride. Bring water or a non-alcoholic drink to
stay hydrated. Riders under the influence of alcohol or
drugs will not be allowed to ride.
Witzands protects rare fynbos and wildlife found only in
the Cape Floristic Region, so all riding stays strictly on
designated trails. Littering or disturbing plants and

Tour Plan
We meet at Atlantis Dunes where your guide runs through a
full safety briefing and fits everyone with a helmet and
gear before getting started.
Get kitted out with a helmet and gear, then take your quad
bike for a short practice run on flat ground before
heading onto the dunes.
Follow your guide along the designated trails across the
sweeping white sand dunes, for the riding time you booked
— 30, 45, or 60 minutes — with regular stops to
take in the views and catch your breath.
Head back to base to return your gear, with time to relax
and chat with your guide before you head off.
